Random Touch of Care
RTC Communications flips the script on random acts of kindness. For almost 70 years, RTC Communications has been an integral part of the community from technological and service perspectives. “RTC” is synonymous with caring for one’s neighbor. During emergencies, when the power goes out, storms and more, RTC has and will be there. We thought we would capture that spirit and encourage these acts of kindness in a new program with the introduction of “Random Touch of Care™”
Have you ever been in a drive-thru line at a fast food restaurant, get to the window to pay for your order only to find out that the person in front of you has already paid for it? How did that make you feel? Were you surprised, happy or thankful? Did you pay it forward to continue that good act and help start a chain reaction of kindness? Now imagine what that person’s thoughts and actions were behind you because just one person showed kindness and their ability to care.
Caring comes in many different shapes, sizes and forms. The size and scale of the random touch of care is irrelevant; it’s the thought and meaning behind it that matters the most. Often, it’s that small act or selflessness that can make, break or even save the day. RTC Communications believes these random acts of kindness deserve to be acknowledged. So, starting November 1, 2018 this campaign of caring and kindness will launch. We want to encourage touches throughout our community. From interest, more descriptive info free pokie games to play. Not just on one day but now and going forward. With each touch we hope it gets paid forward and a chain reaction occurs.
This program will continually grow and evolve but for now here’s how Random Touch of Care will function. Random Touch of Care will function as a monthly giveaway. So, starting on the first day of each month and running to the last day of each month you can enter yourself or someone else to win that month’s gift. An announcement on the first of every month will be made as to what will be given out to the selectee. These gifts may include but is not limited to gift certificates, tickets to entertainment functions or even technology products. After the last day of the month, RTC’s internal Random Touch of Care committee will select the individual that truly showed their caring and kindness for that month.
How to Enter
You can enter yourself or someone else by posting a photo or video with a caption of your great moment in caring on our Facebook page. This short caption should include a short description of your great moment in caring and tagging RTC Communications with Random Touch of Care. What this means is at the bottom of your caption type @RTCCommunications #RandomTouchofCare. If you are nominating someone else please tag that individual in your post or include their name so that we are able to reach out to them if they are that month’s selectee. Please note that any Facebook posts shared on your personal timeline must be changed to “Public” to be eligible for this giveaway.
We want to promote kindness and caring as much as possible so there is no limit on how many times you can enter in a given month. All entries will be reviewed and may be shared or republished with credit provided by RTC Communications at our discretion.
The bottom line is we want to challenge our fellow community and ourselves to make a positive difference in someone else’s life even if it is just for a short period of time. We know that this won’t change the world, but we do know that it will change someone’s life for a brief moment and that’s a start. Who knows where it will lead but we have to start someplace right? So, why not here?
